Who I Am & Why I Do This Work

Hey beautiful soul, I’m Ashley, and I know what it feels like to forget your worth.

For most of my life, I carried silent wounds.
I grew up fast, too fast, entering an abusive relationship at just 13 years old. For five years, I was emotionally, mentally, and physically broken down by someone who made me feel like I was never enough. That experience didn’t just hurt, it rewired the way I saw myself.

I didn’t know how to process the pain, so I numbed it.
Alcohol, drugs, chaos, anything to escape the storm inside me.

But I didn’t stop there.

At 30, I found myself in another relationship I believed was forever. I was ready for love, ready for safety. But instead of love, I was met with disrespect, and emotional abandonment. I begged for the bare minimum. And when he finally left, he didn’t just leave me, he left my daughter and me with nothing. Not even a home.

And yet…
I don’t blame either of them.
Because the truth that shattered me the most was this:
I stayed.
I accepted the pain. I silenced my intuition.
Because somewhere deep down, I still didn’t believe I deserved more.

I abandoned myself before anyone else ever did.

When your self-worth is cracked, you attract what you believe you’re worthy of, and I believed I wasn’t worthy of love, peace, or stability. I tolerated emotional destruction because it felt familiar. I walked on eggshells, mistook chaos for passion, and wore guilt like a second skin.

And yes, I wasn’t perfect in those relationships, none of us are.
But nothing I could’ve done differently would’ve changed how I was treated.
Because it was never about being better for someone else.
It was always about becoming whole for myself.

Then my daughter came into my world, and everything changed.

Her presence cracked me open. She became my mirror and my motivation.
And in the aftermath of heartbreak, as I watched her tiny heart break under the weight of being let down by the man who was supposed to love her unconditionally, I knew something had to shift.

I couldn’t just talk about self-worth anymore. I had to live it.

And so, I began again.

I chose healing.
I returned to my studies in psychology and therapy.
I became the mother, woman, and guide I needed when I was younger.
I stopped settling for scraps of love and started building a life rooted in wholeness.

And now, I help other women do the same.
